Only three days left until I leave this place for a few days. THANK GOD. Being here has never felt so long and boring before. Kate Zimmerman I miss you.
I have so much stuff to do before the end of the year, but as always, I'll get by.

New Poem

I started to write a poem today. I am not sure if it's done. I think it is. I usually do not go back and change my poems, the way they come through me is so organic I hate going back and changing it, I feel like I have no right to do so. Well anyway here it is.

Is there a manual?
A thesis statement?
A rubric?
Maybe a hypothesis?
An outline even,
The concluding sentence at the end of a piece of literature.
A yellowed clipping from an ancient paper.
Where is the evidence?
I need proof!
If only someone before me had cited their sources.
I need a look at the bibliography,
Can I see it quickly please?
Because if you've lost it, where will I start?
Don't you see I am only on the introduction paragraph,
of my existence.

Busy night

Hello!
Today was fun (for the most part) and busy!
I had class (not fun). I gave my speech in IOC. I got a B, which is good considering my last quote decided not to work! ERRRRRRG!!! I even went to a practice thing yesterday night so that WOULDN'T happen and it still did. But like I said I got a B so it's all good. I also looked pretty cute again. Spring inspires me to try haha.

After all the business, I went to dinner ect and then work for an hour before the "National Book Awards." I was forced to go for my Lit class but it was not half bad (texting cole and playing on the touch helped of course). The speaker had a hot Irish accent and was from New York City! I LOVE both those things!!!! There was supposed to be another author from Pakistan but he got caught up at the airport and wasn't allowed to leave the airport for some reason (sketch).

After that I headed down to Hoyum lounge to try to catch the last of condom bingo and mocktails. I had a virgin Pina Coloda, SO GOOD, they're my fav. I came in too late to win at all but I still got to take home some condoms. They are super colorful which lead me to a brilliant idea...CONDOM ART! It would consist of bright color condoms pasted somehow to a white canvas or something to make pics of ppl or things. It is SO modern people would LOVE it! I just have to figure out a way to get a ton of condoms for cheap...

After condom bingo I took a shower and now I'm blogging. Ellie is going home tomorrow, I'm kind tempted to go with, but I will wait a few more days. So I have the room to myself this weekend I think I will clean it is SO gross in here. Thank god cole doesnt go here or he would have a fit every time he came into the room. haha.

No psyc tomorrow!! However I have to go to a "master class" for Lit with that author guy so I have to get up early at 8:50am as opposed to the usual 12:50pm, and tomorrow I could have slept in till 2:00pm if I wanted since I dont have psyc...erg. Oh well. I am also supposed to have questions to ask him, but I havent even read his whole book (I wasnt supposed to either) so how am I supposed to ask him questions about it? How?!

Well I'm going to read psyc and watch TV. Thanks for listening!

Wednesday-my favorite day of the week!

I love Wednesdays! It's the one day a week (other than weekends) I do not have to work! Anywhere! Ever! Well I do tomorrow again, but oh well. However today I have a busy evening, I have a meeting with a group at 7, then a speech thing at 8:20 and clarinet sectional at 9. I try to use Wednesdays as a relaxing/get homework done day. However it often acts as a "do everything I cannot get done during the rest of the week" day, sadly.

Good news; in my last entry I said I was stressed about money, happily I took control and figured out a way to get my paycheck sent to my home over break! I feel proud of myself. Other good news, the Psyc project due date got moved back by a good amount, its not due till after break now! YAY.

Bad news; yesterday I got an F on my speech outline. Last one I got a D on. However on both speeches I got a Bplus. So yeah, I do not know what that is about! So I decided to send in my next outline for my Thursday speech to my teacher to correct. He did and I have SO much to change tonight, but I will get a better grade, so yay.

I am so excited for break. Cole said we can go to the zoo, the free one but still he's a good date ;) HAHA. I always feel a little bad going to the Zoo though, being an animal rights kind of person, and the Como does not have the best facilities.

Lastly, I look nice today so I am uploading a pic to show off my beauty! haha.

Money :(

I am sad because I just realized that I get paid NEXT Friday not this one. This means I will not be at school to pick up my check. And the check I got last week is really small, and my checking account is empty. So I am feeling pretty stressed. I do not know how I will survive over Spring break without any mooolah. :(
Oh well I get to see my Maggpie and Colslaw. Along with the rents of course! And the weather is beautiful AGAIN today, a little windy, but still goood. :)
Well I was just writing quick before work and it's starting now so write ya later! :D

SATURDAY IS HERE

My day so far;
Slept in until 12pm, not that late really.
Went to the Mall with E, the good one, NOT Moorhead
Got a$24 Ipod charger, after a man at Radio Shack tried to sell me a $35 one! no way.
Got chocolate cereal and tomato soup at Target
Waited FOREVER for the bus, luckily me and met up with a friend so we were kinda entertained. A bunch of creep'n people kept trying to bud into our convos, oh public transit, how I love you.
Got home, nothing on TV so I watched Hulu for a few hours, a commercial came on and reminded me of Zorro and it made me sad because I miss him... :(
E made chip dip, and bought me Naked Juice, it was delicious!
And now I'm blogging and trying not to do hmwk, this is MY free time!!

Friday

So it's Friday. Wish I could go home so badly! Of course I always do. However in less than two weeks I will be home! Not alot happened today. I went to Psyc and got a 10/10 on a quiz, but with Cordes-Green its not a huge triumph, haha. Once again I have no plans tonight, probs just hang out here and get some hmwk done. Pathetic I know.

First Times are Always Scary

Hello-
I do not think I have ever written in a blog. Unless you count myspace. Actually I did have a blog once, I made it when I was 13 or so and on vacation with my cousin K. We spent so many valuable hours in that library with our new found invention, The Blog. That was when blogging was just heating up, those were the days...ha. Anyway here I am 6 years later starting from the top, take two. I was inspired to write this by Kate Zimmerman and an episode of House. Also today I decided I needed to keep writing, for fun. Being a college English major gives you plenty of opportunities to write, but not with the kind of attitude that will keep it in the pro category of my life. I have decided I need to let the fun of writing flow over me again.

Also I think I'll let my mom know about this blog (lame right? haha) that way she knows a way to keep in touch with me even if I forget to call. Of course Ill have to censor what I write then ;)

Well here we go:
Today I realized I have WAY too much to get done before Easter break and started to panic a little. I have four classes through out the week and right now I have a large project due in everyone before break, which is only a week and a few days away. So I skipped IOC (speech) a useless class, and got to work on getting shit done. I put a pretty good dent in it I think. I am done with my speech outline, thanks to my mom's great idea of doing it on the lack of a Women's ski jump in the Olympics (thanks mom).

Oh something I am excited about this week is the prank paper our college is putting out for April Fool's Day. I got assigned to do a story about the bell tower. In my story the bell tower is unstable and that is why you are not supposed to walk under it. And in order to get it fixed/find the money the president of the college is letting Taco Bell sponsor it. They will get to put a big Taco Bell logo on the tower and they will help the school fund the repairs! Awesome huh?

Also I am, unless something terrible happens, for sure transferring next year. It is the place I've been talking about moving to for a few months now. I am kinda excited but also scared. My life will be so different. But I think for the better. It was a mistake to go so far away I think. I made so many great connections in high school, no reason to throw them all away. I think I felt like leaving was something I had to do. Maybe it was, and I did it and now I am ready to come back.

Alot has happened in this school year. I have learned to be alone again. I went off my pills for the first time since I was 12. I met amazing people (Kate), and was introduced to an area I used to think was black and now see as gray (Jake), like so many issues have become to me lately. I have lost and reconnected with people dear to me. I have discovered some bonds are stronger than I would have thought (Cole) and some need and deserve more energy than I have given them (Maggie). I have a closer, more open relationship with my parents then I ever have before, and most of all I have discovered I am not stupid, I can handle college.

Thats all for now, for at least awhile I assume I will be doing this quite alot,
